华侨大学金融学系成立于2004年10月，金融学本科专业与2002年开始招生。现有教师18人，其中教授3人、副教授5人、讲师10人，教师队伍中有15人拥有博士学位。金融学系的师资队伍是一支年轻且富有活力的教学科研队伍，是一个积极进取且具有凝聚力和奉献精神的团队，专业特长覆盖货币经济学、金融工程理论与实务、保险理论与实务、精算学、投资学、公司金融、国际金融、风险管理等重要领域。院系简介：http://sxy.hqu.edu.cn/

　　教学方面，金融学系目前主要承担金融学专业、投资学专业两个本科专业的教学工作。此外，金融学系还承担了金融学专业全英文教学班、金融学双学位等教学工作。我系金融学专业是华侨大学品牌专业，并且获得了“金融学卓越人才培养计划”立项。近年来，我系教师在教学方面表现突出，获得了多项教学奖项和教学改革课题立项。我系充分重视国际化办学战略，除了推动全英文授课以外，还与美国加州州立大学圣贝纳迪诺分校、乔治·梅森大学、东华盛顿大学、德保罗大学、台湾辅仁大学、淡江大学等海外知名大学合作培养人才。

　　科研方面，自2011年以来，我系教师主持国家社科基金等国家级课题6项，教育部社科基金等省部级课题7项，以及泉州市课题及校级课题多项，获得省部级社科优秀成果奖和教学成果奖多项，并在《统计研究》、《财经研究》、《经济学动态》等重要刊物发表一批学术论文。我系的主要研究方向有：货币经济学问题、保险理论与实务问题、国际金融问题、公司金融问题和数量经济学等问题。

　　金融学系相关的学位点有金融学硕士点和金融学专业硕士点，为学生的进一步深造提供了良好的条件。金融学本科专业主要培养基础扎实、能力强、素质高、有创造精神和创新能力的、能适应社会主义市场经济和金融业现代化、综合化和国际化要求的、能从事银行、保险、证券、公司理财等方面业务以及在政府部门从事管理和实际业务、在学校和科研单位从事金融专业教学和科研工作的综合性应用型专门人才。在人才培养上，借鉴国内外知名学府金融学专业的教学科研经验，并根据现代金融理论和实务的最新发展不断完善课程体系和教学内容，注重理论与实际相结合，在保证理论系统性的基础上及时增加金融学科相关的最新理论和热点问题，不断更新教学手段和教学方法。

　　经济与金融学院简介

　　经济与金融学院前身为商学院，2004年由经济管理学院发展成立，2009年更名为经济与金融学院，现名誉院长为著名经济学家乌家培教授，院长为郭克莎教授。

　　学院现拥有数量经济学国家重点学科，应用经济学福建省特色重点学科和省级重点学科,应用经济学博士后科研流动站，数量经济学二级学科博士点，应用经济学一级学科硕士点，设有数量经济学、金融学、区域经济学、国际贸易学、产业经济学和信息经济学等6个二级学科硕士点，以及金融专业硕士学位点。设有国际经济与贸易系、金融学系、经济学系、电子商务系等四个系，设有国际经济与贸易、金融学、经济学、电子商务和投资学五个本科专业。

　　学院现设有福建省高校人文社会科学研究优秀基地---华侨大学数量经济研究中心、台湾经济研究所、电子商务研究中心、国际经济研究所、东南大宗商品现货交易研究所、经济发展与改革研究院等科研机构;学校、学院分别建有实验中心和专业实验室。

　　学院现有教职工83人，有专职教师69人，教师中有教授15人，副教授14人，教师中具有博士学位者42人，博士生导师有6人。现任教师中有国家级“百千万人才工程”人选1人、国务院特殊津贴专家1人、教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划人选1人、福建省闽江学者特聘教授人选1人、讲座教授人选2人，福建省优秀青年社会科学专家2人，福建省高校教学名师1人，福建省高校新世纪优秀人才支持计划人选4人等。

　　近三年学院教师主持了9项国家社会科学基金项目，主持了近30项省、部级科研课题研究，在《中国工业经济》、《数量经济与技术经济研究》、《财经研究》等一类期刊发表论文20余篇。获得福建省优秀社科成果奖6项。获得省优秀教学成果奖2项，以及入选“十二五”全国规划教材等。

　　学院现有学生2194人，其中境外生354人，硕士、博士研究生146人。

　　Introduction

　　Founded in June, 2000, School of Economics and Management at Huaqiao University consisted of Department of Business Administration, Department of Tourism, Department of Social Science, and Department of Information Management. In October, 2004, School of Economics and Management was further split into three colleges, namely, College of Business, College of Business Administration, and College of Tourism. Prof. GUO Kesha, the former Vice-dean of School of Economics and Management, was nominated as the founding Dean of College of Business and Prof. WU Jiapei, a famous economist in China, as the honorary Dean. College of Business was renamed as School of Economics and Finance in September, 2009.

　　School of Economics and Finance currently owns a national key discipline, i.e., Quantitative Economics, and a provincial key discipline, i.e., Applied Economics. Post-doctoral research center for Applied Economics is available. Our school has been authorized to confer sub-discipline Doctorate’s degree in Quantitative Economics and Master's degree in Applied Economics disciplines, covering Quantitative Economics, Finance, Regional Economics, International Economics and Trade, Industrial Economics and Information Economics. Our school has four departments, including Department of International Ecomony and Trade, Department of Finance, Department of Economics, and Department of E- Commerce. Meanwhile, the five undergraduate majors are international economy and trade, finance, ecomomics, e-commerce, and investment.

　　At present, School of Economics and Finance has established a number of excellent research centers, including Quantitative Economics Center, Taiwan Economy Center, E-commerce Center, International Economy Center, Dongnan Commodity Spot Trading Center as well as Economic Development and Reform Center. Among them, Research Center for Quantitative Economics was awarded Research Bases in Humanities and Social Science of Fujian Province. Experimental center and laboratories are easily accessible for teaching staff and students.

　　Currently, School of Economics and Finance boasts 83 teaching staff and 69 full-time teachers which include 15 professors, 14 associate professors and 6 doctoral supervisors. Among the full-time teachers, 42 out of 65 have received their doctor’s degrees. Prof. HU Ridongwas awarded both national candidate for the Millions of Talents Project in the New Century and grantee of the State Council Special Allowance. New Century Talents Training Plan was conferred on Prof. XU Peiyuan by the Ministry of Education. Prof. XIAO Shuguang was given the title of Distinguished Professor of Minjiang Scholars Program in Fujian Province. Prof. CHEN Jianwei and Prof. XIE Jierong were endowed the Chair Professors of Minjiang Scholar Program in Fujian Province. Excellent Young Specialists in Social Science of Fujian Province was bestowed on Prof. HU Ridong and Prof. XIAO Shuguang. Prof. HU Ridong was honored as University Teaching Masters in Fujian Province. Four teachers were granted by the program of New Century Excellent Talents in Fujian Province University.

　　During the past three years, the faculty members have undertaken 9 research projects granted by National Social Science Foundation of China, 30 research projects granted by the Ministry of Education and Social Science Foundation of Fujian Province. Our faculty members have published more than 20 high quality papers in peer refereed journals, including China Industrial Economics, the Journal of Quantitative Economics & Technical Economics Theory, Journal of Finance and Economics, etc. Six research papers were awarded the Excellent Achievements in Social Science of Fujian Province and 2 scholarly monographs were awarded both Excellent Achievements in Teaching of Fujian Province and the Twelfth Five-year National Planning Materials.

　　School of Economics and Finance offers B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degree programs in economics and finance with about 2194 undergraduate students including 354 foreign students in its four departments of International Economics and Trade, Finance, Economics and Electronic Commerce. 146 graduate students are pursuing higher degrees.
