经济学院前身为1994年成立的贸易经济系，2001年成立经贸学院，2007年更名为经济学院。目前，经济学院有经济学、国际经济与贸易、财政学、金融学和信用管理5个本科专业;国际经济与贸易学、经济学和金融学3个双学位专业;理论经济学和应用经济学2个一级学科硕士点;政治经济学、人口资源与环境经济学、产业经济学、国际贸易学、区域经济学、金融学、世界经济、财政学和数量经济学9个硕士点和1个国际商务专业硕士点，其中产业经济学是天津市重点学科。经济学院现有教职员工76人，专职教师66人，专职教师中享受国务院特殊津贴专家1人、教育部“跨世纪优秀人才”2人、优秀回国人员1人;教授、副教授37人，占专职教师总数的56%;65%的教师已获得或正在攻读博士学位，20%以上的教师有海外学习经历;学院目前共有博士生导师4人，硕士生导师38人;学院聘请了高水平的兼职教授4人，其中2人为博士生导师。学院现有在校本科及研究生2500余人。院系网址：http://jjxy.tjcu.edu.cn/

　　经济学院现有金融学国家级特色专业;金融学和国际经济与贸易两个天津市品牌专业;货币银行学和宏观经济学两个市级精品课;微观经济学和统计学两个校级精品课。

　　经济学院坚持落实学校的办学指导思想，培养复合型、创业型应用人才，充分运用校内外两种资源进行特色人才培养。学院在2007年率先开展了紧密型校企、银校合作，在与光大期货有限公司联合培养金融学专业期货方向人才、与中国诚信信用管理有限公司联合培养信用管理人才、与中国人民银行天津分行开展推进大学生国民素质教育的基础上，又与联合资信评估有限公司、华泰证券天津分公司、宏源期货有限公司等十余家企业展开合作，进行卓越金融人才培养，在金融学专业设立财富管理方向，初步形成了“三双”(双基地、双课堂、双师资)人才培养模式。学院与理学院发挥我校多学科相互支撑的优势，联合开设了“经济学数学实验班”，致力于打造具有深厚数学统计学功底的经济学人才。

　　学院科研实力雄厚，并取得了一系列的成果。近五年来，获得教育部人文社科优秀成果3等奖1项，省部级科研奖一等奖3项，二等奖2项，三等奖4项;完成和在研的国家级项目10项(其中自然科学基金项目1项)、省部级项目60项;横向课题47项;发表论文231篇，其中EI检索2篇，ISTP检索14篇;出版学术专著46部，举办国际学术会议2次。

　　“十一五”期间经济学院共建设3个文科实验室，还为有省部级以上项目的教师配备6个研究室，实验室面积2060平方米，为学院的教学和科研工作创造了良好的环境，促进了教学水平和科研水平的提升。

　　学院现有产业经济研究所、WTO研究中心、现代日本研究所、生态文明与现代经济研究所等科研机构。产业经济学于2002年被确定为学校重点学科，2005年被批准为天津市重点学科。现代服务业作为本学科主要研究领域已成为融合产业经济学、区域经济学、发展经济学和国际经济学的独特交叉前沿学科。通过融合创新发展，初步形成了“现代服务经济学”理论框架与内涵。产业经济学研究团队在天津市“十一五”和“十二五”规划制定、全国服务业综合改革试点等方面发挥了政策研究和决策咨询的重要作用，为服务地方经济发展做出了巨大贡献，并为进一步服务全国现代服务业发展奠定了基础。

　　产业经济学团队是中国工业经济学会的副会长单位，学科带头人刘书瀚教授为该学会副会长，经过多年努力，该学科得到了长足的发展，取得了较为突出的成果，并凝炼了四个研究方向，即现代服务业与服务创新;产业发展与资源、环境协调;公用事业的市场化、产业组织与政府规制;产业政策与区域产业发展。目前，该学科在国内同类学科中占有一席之地，在天津市处于较为前列的位置，特别是在运用演化与创新经济学等新的产业经济学理论对服务创新的研究方面，已形成了实力雄厚、结构合理且具有一定发展潜力的研究团队，处于国内较为领先的地位。

　　The School of Economics has a long history, dating as far back as 1994 when trade economics department was first setup. In 2007, The School of Trade and Economics was renamed as School of Economics. The School offers the BA general program includes five fields: International Trade and Economics, Economics, Finance, Public Finance, Credit Management. The double-degree program includes three fields: Economics，International Trade and Economics, and Finance. The School of Economics offers program of study and research leading to the M.A degree in Political Economy, Population, resources and Environmental Economics, Industrial Economics, International Trade, Regional Economics, Finance, World Economy, Public Finance, Quantitative Economics, Master of International Business. Its Industrial Economics was ratified by Tianjin Municipal Education Commission as authorized primary subjects.

　　The School of Economics is staffed with a well-balanced, highly innovative and competitive teaching and research faculty team. They are 76 faculty and staff members, including 66 faculty members. Among our faculty members, one enjoys the Special Allowance from the State Council. There are two winners of the “New Century Excellent Intellectuals” by MOE, one winner of the “Excellent Returnee”, 37 associate professors and professors who accounts for 56% of total faculty members, 4 doctoral supervisors, 38 Master instructors and 4 part-time professors including 2 doctoral supervisors. In addition, there are 43 PhD candidates and doctors who accounts for 65% of total faculty members, more than 20% of faculty members with overseas study experience. At present, the school has more than 2500 undergraduates and graduate students.

　　Presently, Finance owns the title of The Special Major Subjects of State-level. In addition, the School of Economics owns two Special Major Subjects of Tianjin Municipality-level, namely Finance and International Trade & Economics, two Tianjin Municipal Classic Courses including Monetary Banking and Macroeconomics, two Classic Courses of Tianjin University of Commerce-level including Microeconomics and Statistics.

　　In accordance with the discipline construction principle of “Training Inter-disciplinary & Entrepreneurial Spirit Talents”, the School of Economics has set up training bases for economic professionals since 2007.The school has established a long-term partnership and research cooperation with a good number of enterprises and research institution s including China Ever-bright Limited, China Credit Management Limited, Tianjin Branch of The People’s Bank of China. The School has established collaborative program for Mathematical Economics with Partner School of Science.

　　In recent years, the School of Economics is awarded with 1 third-prize of excellent researches in philosophy and social science by MOE, 3 first-prize and 2 second-prize of the Tianjin municipal excellent research in social science. It has presided over 47 horizontal & 10 longitudinal research projects by National Social Science, Ministry of Education and National Natural Science Fund as well as 60 provincial projects. The faculty members have published 46 monographs, 231 papers including 2 papers indexed by EI, 14 papers indexed by ISTP. Two international conferences on industrial economics have been sponsored by the School of Economics. Moreover, the School of Economics has the teaching and researching platform like the excellent experiment lab center for economics.

　　The School of Economics consists of some scientific research organizations like Industrial Economics Research Institute, WTO Research Center, Modern Japan Research Institute and Ecological Civilization and Modern Economy Institute. The industrial economics was identified as the key discipline of TUC and was approved by Tianjin Municipal Education Commission as the municipal key discipline. Being the major researching field, modern service industry has been the unique cross frontier subject integrating industrial economics, regional economics, developing economics and international economics. The theory frame and connotation of “modern service economics” has been constituted by means of integration and innovation. The academic team of industrial economics play key role of policy consultation and decision in the “Tianjin Eleventh Five-Year Plan” and “Tianjin Twelfth Five-Year Plan” as well as China service industry comprehensive experimental reform. The academic team has made great contribution to serve the local economic development and laid sound foundation for further serving national modern service industry.

　　The academic team of industrial economics is the membership of China Industrial Economics Institute and the academic leader Professor Liu Shuhan is the vice president of the Institute. The industrial economics discipline has developed well and achieved outstanding outcomes after years of great efforts. It has formed four research directions: modern service and service innovation, industrial development and coordination between resource and environment, the marketization of public utilities and industrial organization and government regulation as well as the industrial policy and regional industrial development. At present, the said discipline occupied a place in national similar academic fields and is in the top in Tianjin colleges and universities. The strong, well-structured and potential research team has been established and taken the leading position in the study of service innovation by application of such new industrial economics as evolving and innovation economics.
